In one of the incidents, the geolocation feature incorporated in some headphones was crucial.
The Local Police of Coslada recently managed to arrest the alleged perpetrators of several robberies involving violence and intimidation. The first incident took place near the El Rompeolas Center, located on Avenida de España. The concierge of this municipal space alerted the Local Police after witnessing how four minors intimidated another, all of them users of the center, in order to steal their belongings.
Specifically, the four minors cornered their victim. One of them brandished a medium-sized kitchen knife to intimidate and take the money from his wallet.
The perpetrators fled the scene, but thanks to the descriptions provided by the victim and the staff at Rompeolas, as well as the quick police intervention, they were located shortly after in nearby sports courts.
The four perpetrators of the robbery are residents of Coslada, with one of them being under fourteen years old and therefore not prosecutable due to their age.
Following the verification of the facts, the officers proceeded to arrest the three young individuals, while the fourth was handed over to their parents. The victim was taken to the Local Police station, where after some inquiries, the officers contacted their parents and informed them of the incident.
Arrest of a Couple
In another operation, the Local Police of Coslada arrested a man and a woman as alleged perpetrators of a burglary in a home in Madrid.
It all began with a neighbor’s call alerting the Local Police that the day before, there had been a burglary in their home. Among the stolen items were Apple headphones equipped with precise geolocation.
The victim provided the agents with the exact location of the device, which was inside a vehicle parked on Calle Suecia in the Coslada Transport Center.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officers identified the two individuals as they tried to access the vehicle. In addition to finding the mentioned headphones inside the car, the police officers also found a backpack in the vicinity, which the victim identified without a doubt as theirs and also stolen the day before.
Subsequently, the officers of the Local Police of Coslada proceeded to arrest the couple.
